The Gay Community Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals for programs that support the local LGBTQ+ community.
Founded in 2001, the mission of the Gay Community Endowment Fund is to advance a lived equality for all LGBTQ+ people in Greater Akron. Since its establishment, the Gay Community Endowment Fund has invested more than $575,000 into local causes that change the lives of LGBTQ+ people in the community.
In addition to these areas of focus, micro-grant proposals will also be accepted for a wider range of programs that benefit the LGBTQ+ community, including the arts, community events and nonprofit operational needs.
Funding Information
- Nonprofits may apply for either an impact grant or a micro-grant, with impact grants starting at $10,000 and micro-grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.
