The United Nations Women South Africa Multi-Country is seeking submissions to engage an Implementing Partner to lead the training component of the EntrerepenHER III Programme in Musina and Blouberg Municipalities.
Goal
- The overall goal of the programme is to equip 1500 low-income women entrepreneurs (micro-entrepreneurs across the 3 countries with business skills that contribute to managing their enterprises, create decent jobs and acquiring income security and/or autonomy in Limpopo South Africa in two municipalities (Musina and Blouberg).
Objectives
- Increase capacity in business and life skills of programme participants to successfully manage their enterprises and improve the quality of their livelihoods.
- Advocate for and apply policies and strategies that advance the economic empowerment of women micro-enterprises.
- Leverage innovation and technologies to improve access to markets for micro women enterprises and introduce digital literacy as part of the programme.
- Increase communication and advocacy for visibility and replication of AWOME programme model.
- Technical and institutional support will be provided to the Implementing Partners to enhance efficiency in the implementation and operationalization of the AWOME model.
- Expose women farmers to adopt Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) technologies that will enhance productivity and increase resilience among the women farmers.
- Facilitate the exposure of women farmers to networks, information, and capacity-building opportunities in male-dominated sectors.
- Provide programme participants with exposure to both foundational and advanced digital skills training.
Scope
- The Implementing Partner (IP) will lead the training component of the programme in Musina and Blouberg Municipalities for the duration of the programme:
- Facilitate training workshops and related logistical arrangements as per 2025 workplan.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to women entrepreneurs that have completed IYB training in 2024 in collaboration with the x4 Trainers.
- Produce reports on a quarterly basis for UN Women to integrate into overall quarterly reporting using UN Women IP template.
- Produce financial reports based on Face Form for 2025.
- Work with operations team on liquidation processes.
Funding Information
- The budget range for this proposal should be $50,000 – $100,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- UN Women invites qualified parties to submit technical and financial proposals to provide services associated with the UN Women requirements for an Implementing Partner.
- UN Women is soliciting proposals from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Women’s organizations or entities are highly encouraged to apply.
