The European commission is pleased to announce the applications to support the work of CSOs for the promotion of economic and social integration of the vulnerable youth through access to decent work.
This call for Peru is part of the Thematic Program “A Global Europe for Civil Society Organizations 2021-2027” funded within the framework of the thematic pillar of the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe, and is based on the civil society organizations component of the “Civil society organizations and local authorities” program ( 2014-2020).
Objectives and Priorities
- The specific objective of this call for proposals is to support the work of CSOs to participate and influence in a structured manner in the definition and monitoring of the implementation of public policies and actions that contribute to the promotion of the economic and social integration of the vulnerable youth through access to decent work.
- The priorities of this call for proposals are:
- Support the participation of CSOs in the definition of legislation, public policies and the monitoring of their implementation, in matters of formalization of employment and the full exercise of social rights with emphasis on the most vulnerable youth.
- Accompany the most vulnerable young employees and workers (women, ethnic and sexual minorities) in the formalization process and, specifically, in registering with the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) and in ESSalud (employees) or the Comprehensive Health System (SIS) (self-employees) to be able to exercise their rights to social protection.
- Support the design and implementation of vocational training programs – including dual vocational training (alternation between the educational center and the company)-, with organizations and associations representing the business sector and the competent authorities in matters of education and training.
- The final beneficiaries of the action financed by the EU must be vulnerable youth in the informal economy or those who are potentially going to enter it: domestic workers, rural workers, workers in risky or dangerous sectors (construction, mining, transport, etc.), migrant workers, ethnic or sexual minorities young people with disabilities, young self-employed workers, unpaid (young) family workers, “NEET” young people, etc.
Funding Information
- The total indicative amount allocated to this call for proposals amounts to EUR 2,939,500. The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds.
- Subsidy amounts
- The subsidies requested within this call for proposals will be between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- minimum amount: EUR 600,000.
- maximum amount: EUR 1,000,000.
- The subsidies requested within this call for proposals will be between the following minimum and maximum percentages of the total eligible costs of the action:
- Minimum percentage: 60% of the total eligible costs of the action.
- Maximum percentage: 90% of the total eligible costs of the action.
- The subsidies requested within this call for proposals will be between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- The initial planned duration of an action may not be less than 36 months nor more than 48 months.
Ineligible Actions
- Actions exclusively or mainly focused on individual aid for participation in workshops, seminars, conferences or congresses.
- Actions exclusively or mainly intended for individual scholarships for studies or training.
Eligibility Criteria
- Primary applicant
- To be eligible for a grant, the main applicant must:
- be a Civil Society Organization; and
- not have a profit motive; and
- have been incorporated for at least 3 years; and
- be directly responsible, with their co-applicants and affiliated entities, for the preparation and management of the action and not simply act as intermediaries.
- To be eligible for a grant, the main applicant must:
- Co-applicants
- The co-applicants will participate in the design and implementation of the action, and the costs incurred will be eligible for subsidies in the same way as those incurred by the main applicant.
- Co-applicants must meet the eligibility criteria applicable to the main applicant themselves.
- Affiliated entities
- The main applicants and its co-applicants may act with affiliated entities.
