The Victorian Government is seeking applications for the Change Our Game Finance for Non-Financial Managers Pilot Program to provides formal training to women aspiring to senior leadership roles who are looking to improve their knowledge of financial management, including accounting, budget management, and financial reporting.
The program is suitable for mid to senior level women working in the sport and active recreation sector.
Objectives
- The Program addresses Recommendation 7: Build an enabling environment through education and training from the 2015 Inquiry into Women and Girls in Sport and Active Recreation.
Aims
- The Program aims to:
- support women to have increased confidence and improved knowledge of financial management practices
- increase the number of women learning new skills, or enhancing existing skills, that are critical to succeeding in executive leadership roles in the sport and active recreation sector.
Outcomes
- Upon completion of the Program, participants will be able to:
- understand and interpret the fundamentals of financial management and budgeting, accounting, risk assessment, contract management and planning
- understand the impact of financial decisions
- generate logical solutions to finance problems that are fit for purpose.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the Program, applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria below:
- identify as a woman
- be aged 18 years or over
- live in victoria
- currently hold a mid to senior-level leadership role in the sport and active recreation sector
- be available to attend the course over three days in early-June 2022
Note : A minimum of five years of experience.
Ineligible
- All individuals that do not meet the eligibility criteria
- The Program is not open to entities other than individuals.
