The Cirencester Town Council has launched its grant fund for 2020-21 with £11,000 available to local individuals, businesses and organisations to apply for towards projects which directly benefit the local community of Cirencester through environmental, social or economic well-being.
- applications will only be considered where it is demonstrated that contributory funding is in place/available;’
- applications will only be considered where a set of accounts is available for the preceding financial year along with supporting information demonstrating that accounts have been audited. Organisations in their first year of operation must provide accounts for the period up to the month preceding the date of the application;
- applications must be accompanied with a constitution, governance document and/or business plan;
- applicants must demonstrate that the funding directly benefits those who live in Cirencester and/or the wider community of Cirencester;
- if applicants are based, or live, outside the electoral town boundary, discretion will be given where the funding applied for clearly demonstrates an environmental, social or economic benefit to the town;
- applicants who are under the age of 16 must provide a covering letter from their parents/guardian giving consent for the application;
- if you are applying as an individual, please provide as much supporting information as possible;
- applicants may be invited to a meeting in advance of a decision being made and supplementary information may be requested;
- references will be obtained in advance of any recommendation being made to the Town Council, if the applicant is not known to the Council;
- in the event of the application being successful, applicants will be invited to the Annual Meeting of the Town in April 2021 to raise awareness of the project and outputs.
