The Clemmons Community Foundation is inviting and encouraging applications from tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations in Yadkin County for its Shore Community Grants that creates transformative, long-term, and tangible solutions for unmet community needs and interests.
The Shore Community Grants are designed to fund impactful projects and initiatives that enhance the lives and communities in Yadkin County. This grant opportunity is part of his charitable bequest.
Funding Information
- Grants will be awarded up to $12,000.
- Grant proposals may be for a 6, 9, or 12-month period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be classified as one of the following:
- IRS registered organizations with a letter determination as tax-exempt 501(c)(3) (excluding 509(a) private foundations); registered and licensed to solicit in the state of North Carolina, unless exempt; and providing programs and services in Yadkin County
- Governmental or quasi-governmental agencies
- An organization must have been in existence for at least three years (based on date of IRS determination letter) and have achieved a record of effective service and sustainability
- One or more of the following broad categories may be addressed:
- Animal Welfare
- Arts and Culture (that contributes to a vibrant community)
- Community Development and Engagement
- Economic Security and Opportunities
- Family Services
- Health and Wellness
- Human Services and Basic Needs
- Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Stewardship
- Youth Development
- Workforce Development and Entrepreneurial Cultivation
- For organizations that work with the aging and senior citizen populations, one or more of the following concerns may be addressed:
- Healthcare Access and Navigating Insurance Coverage
- Housing (Accessibility and Modification)
- Social Empowerment and Engagement
- Transportation Access and Mobility
- Wellness (Physical, Mental, Emotional)
- Collaborative projects undertaken in partnership with multiple nonprofit organizations are also encouraged.
