The Coastal Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Mental Health Fund to provide funding for services and programs in San Diego North County with a preference for programs serving the coastal communities.
The mission of Coastal Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in San Diego North County by directing philanthropic efforts toward community needs. Coastal Community Foundation makes grants to community organizations defined as tax-exempt, section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Grant Committee reviews all grant applications and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors. All grants are approved by the Board of Directors.
Funding Information
- Grant range is $2,500 – $6,000.
- Preference will be given to organizations with annual budgets less than $5 million.
Eligibility Requirements
- Grants are awarded for new or established programs that address the mental health needs of youth in San Diego North County communities.
- Program or project must provide prevention or early intervention mental health services or direct mental health counselling for youth (21 years of age and under).
- Funding will not be made to train adults to implement services or to publish materials.
- No larger requests will be considered.
- Preference is given to organizations with annual budgets under $5 million that meet the above requirements.
- The Foundation does not make grants for fundraising events, endowment campaigns, travel, religious or political advocacy, or for programs and services outside of the Foundation’s geographic area.
