The Westmeath County Council is pleased to announce the Community Activities Fund (CAF) to support community groups across Ireland, particularly in disadvantaged areas.
The Community Activities Fund (CAF) is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered by Westmeath Local Community Development Committee (LCDC).
This grant is aimed at supporting groups:
- With their non-pay running costs for example utility bills (electricity costs, refuse charges, heating charges) or other non-pay operating costs for example rental/lease costs, insurance bills.
- With the upgrade of their facilities and/or purchase of equipment for example to carry out necessary repairs and improvements to their facilities, purchase equipment such as tables and chairs, tools and signage, laptops and printers, lawnmowers, canopies and training equipment etc.
Funding Information
The Department has recommended that LCDCs ring-fence some funding to provide small grants of €1,000 or less.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any not-for-profit community or voluntary group can apply.
- Commercial organisations and individuals are not eligible for funding.
