The Community Matters has launched its Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS) to provide government-funded grants to support voluntary and not-for-profit organisations working in local communities and neighbourhoods.
Priorities
- Māori
- women
- Pacific communities
- other ethnic communities
- older people
- rurally isolated people
- people with disabilities
- families
- youth and children
- unemployed people
- community-based organisations with limited access to other government funding
Outcomes
- encouraging participation in communities
- promoting community leadership
- developing community capability
- promoting social, economic and cultural equity, or
- reducing the downstream social and economic costs to communities and government.
What they fund?
- the running or operational costs of organisations that provide community-based social services
- community development costs, such as hui, training, planning, evaluation and facilitator fees
- community projects or event costs that:
- encourage participation in communities
- promote community leadership
- promote social, economic and cultural equity.
What criteria do I need to meet to enter?
- You must enter a physical product
- The product must be sold to consumers
- The product must be available for sale to the public by 7th June 2022
- Your business must be the brand owner of the product entered
- The person submitting the entry must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry
- Your business must be registered in an EEA country, the UK or Switzerland
- The business must employ fewer than 250 persons and which have an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 43 million at the time of entry
- The product entered must not have received any award in the context of previous editions of the Awards
