The Inner West is accepting applications for its Community Wellbeing (2-year) Grants to support projects which address local issues, promote social justice, enhance wellbeing, strengthen the sustainability and capacity of the Inner West community and foster inclusion, equity and social connection.
Objectives
- Connect local people to each other and place
- Foster an inclusive and diverse community and encourage community participation
- Develop community strengths, capabilities and lifelong learning
- Encourage social and cultural sustainability
- Promote equity, community health and wellbeing
- Encourage community collaborations and partnerships.
Funding Information
- Community Wellbeing grants of $20,000 each over two years ($10,000 per annum) are available.
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for funding, you must:
- Be an Australian citizen, resident or relevant visa holder aged over 18 years.
- Be a legally registered, incorporated not-for-profit organisation or group. Unincorporated groups must be auspiced by an incorporated not-for-profit organisation. Note: This eligibility varies for Arts grants and Community History grants.
- Be a resident of or delivering services in the Inner West Council area or offer a project that benefits residents of the Inner West.
- Include a booking confirmation form for use of a Council facility required as part of a grant application (i.e. Council venues, parks and sportsgrounds).
- Meet the grant stream eligibility criteria.
- Address the grant stream objectives.
- Demonstrate your project is in the public interest and in accordance with Council’s Community Strategic Plan, policies and regulations.
- Parents and Citizens’ Associations are eligible to apply for projects that can demonstrate they benefit the Inner West community.
- Only submit one application per applicant each year.
