The City Bridge Trust (CBT) is accepting applications for the Connecting the Capital Funding Programme to help make London’s communities stronger, more resilient and thriving.
To achieve this, they believe that a healthy and vibrant and well-resourced voluntary sector, working with communities and across sectors, plays a vital role.
Priority Areas
- Infrastructure funding: capacity building and representation
- Increasing the quality and scale of giving
- Place-based giving schemes
- Voice and leadership
- Growing, greening and environmental projects
- Eco-audits
- Arts, sports, health and/or well-being projects for D/deaf and disabled people
- Arts, sports, health and/or well-being projects for older people
- Access improvements to community buildings
- Capital funding for access improvements to community buildings
Funding Information
They have awarded between £100,000 and £327,000 for work under this strand. The average award size has been £299,000.
Outcomes
Under the Connecting the Capital funding programme they want to achieve the following outcomes:
- Local communities have better, more sustainable, assets (financial, physical, environmental).
- Civil society organisations are more effective and resilient.
- Londoners experiencing inequality or disadvantage are better heard and represented leading to better decision-making.
- Londoners experiencing inequality or disadvantage have greater well-being and independence through improved access to arts, sports and other community facilities and services.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible your organisation must be one of the following:
- Registered charity
- Registered Community Interest Company
- Registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation
- Charitable companyA “Charitable company” refers to an organisation which is both a registered company (normally a private company limited by guarantee) and a registered charity (all charities with an income over £5,000 p.a. being required to register with the Charity Commission)
- Exempt or excepted charity
- Registered charitable industrial and provident society or charitable Bencom
