Arts OutWest is calling for people with exciting small local arts projects in mind to apply for the Country Arts Support Program (CASP).
CASP is the NSW Government funded round of small grants delivered locally by Regional Arts Development Organisations (RADOS).
Arts OutWest’s CASP 2022 round is focused on community-based, locally developed arts and heritage activities with outcomes that benefit people living in the NSW Central West. Funds need to be used, primarily, for the payment of artists and arts workers to undertake or manage these activities.
Goals
Goals of CASP:
- Assist locally determined community arts and cultural activities
- Increase opportunities for regionally based groups to access a diverse range of arts programs
- Enable communities to explore and express their cultural identities
- Bring social and economic benefits to the community through training, employment and promotional opportunities
- Lead to greater awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity
- Increase the sustainability and resilience of regionally based community arts organisations
Funding Information
Applications can be for $500 up to $3000 for projects happening between 1 June and 31 December 2022.
Eligible Activities
- Arts OutWest’s CASP 2022 funds all kinds of arts and heritage activities including (but not limited to) festivals, performances, workshops, exhibitions, residencies, presentations, collaborations, creating new works.
- CASP funding is primarily for artist/ arts worker fees and expenses.

Arts OutWest’s Country Arts Support Program is available to people and organsiations whose residence or main place of practice is within one of the 12 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of their service region:
- Bathurst Region
- Blayney
- Cabonne
- Cowra
- Forbes
- Lachlan
- Lithgow
- Mid-Western Region
- Oberon
- Orange
- Parkes
- Weddin

Eligible applicants:
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Incorporated associations
- Collectives (with a nominated funds manager)
- Individuals (with a nominated funds manager)
- Businesses providing the activity is for community benefit
- Local government
Ineligible
- Organisations and bodies that are part of state or federal government
- Schools
- Businesses undertaking activity to solely financially benefit their own business
- Groups or individuals not based in the Arts OutWest service region
- Groups or individuals with overdue CASP or Micro Grant aquittals
- Applicants who have not discussed their application with Arts OutWest staff
