Applications are now open for COVID-19 Community Funding Program to assist local community organisations in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funding program will enable direct service providers to support the increased number of vulnerable and emerging at-risk communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program will fund projects that directly support physical health and mental wellbeing, social connection and safety of vulnerable and at-risk groups within Lake Macquarie City.
Funding Information
- Total funding available $100,000.
- Applications can be made for funding up to a maximum of $5,000.
Expected Program Outcome
- Through access to timely funding assistance, this grants program will enable direct service providers to provide support to the increased number of vulnerable and emerging at-risk communities within Lake Macquarie City, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Grants will also allow service providers to implement targeted programs or activities to address an identified need or issue that has arisen as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Types of activities/projects supported
- This program is designed to assist service providers who are supporting vulnerable people within Lake Macquarie City.
- Projects that directly support physical health and mental well-being, social connection and safety of vulnerable and at-risk groups will be considered. For example, this could include things like:
- Food hamper/meal delivery
- Mental health support and counselling services
- Emergency welfare support
- Health and well-being programs
- Community/social connection activities
- Provision of health or educational supplies to at-risk communities
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a legally constituted not-for-profit organisation, or be auspiced by a legally constituted not-for-profit organisation.
- Applicants must demonstrate an increased demand and/or need due to COVID-19.
- Applicants must be based and/or operate within Lake Macquarie City and the proposed activity must be undertaken within the City and benefiting the residents of Lake Macquarie City.
- Applicants must meet the grant program eligibility criteria and address the program outcome.
- Applicants must have relevant insurances.
- Programs/activities must be completed by 30 November 2021.
