Deadline: 27-Aug-21
The U.S. Department of State, Office of Global Partnerships (E/GP) is pleased to announce the COVID-19 Private Sector Engagement & Partnership Fund (Fund) Annual Program Statement (APS) that will be used to make assistance awards.
DOS and USAID have jointly developed a four pillar COVID-19 response strategy:
- Protect American citizens overseas and maintain continuity of U.S. government operations;
- Prevent, prepare for, respond to, and bolster health systems to address COVID-19 and reemergence;
- Prevent, prepare for, respond to COVID-19 in existing complex emergency responses and address potential humanitarian consequences of COVID-19;
- Prepare for, mitigate and address second order economic, security, stabilization impacts of COVID-19 and prevent development backsliding.
The Fund will build upon private sector resources and capabilities in partnership with grant resources. Leveraging the expertise and reach of U.S. corporations, local and locally established partners, such as (but not limited to) community based CBOs, faith based organizations (FBOs), and small businesses, is a key component of increasing the quality, access and sustainability of health programs at the country level.
Building new effective and long-term partnerships can spur innovation and create new paths for development solutions to accelerate progress at the country and community level.
