The Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Kosovo (YIHR KS) is thrilled to announce a call for proposals for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and youth through the Kosovo-Serbia Small Granting Scheme.
The goal is to empower youth to contribute to genuine normalization through dialogue.
Objective
- Foster relations and communication between youth from Kosovo and Serbia.
Eligible Areas
- Project ideas must fall under one of the following areas:
- Dealing with the past and transitional justice
- Peacebuilding and human rights
- Inter-ethnic community cohesion and dialogue
- Counternarratives, oral history, and storytelling
- Media literacy and fight against disinformation and propaganda
- Overcoming stereotypes and prejudice
Funding Information
- Up to 5,000 EUR depending on the proposal.
- The maximum duration for activities implemented is six months.
Results
- Results they aim to achieve:
- Sub-granting to 10 CSOs engaged in cross-border cooperation.
- Involvement of at least an additional 10 CSOs in cross-border cooperation.
- Generate findings and recommendations for future financial assistance.
- Enhance communication between youth in the cross-border region of Kosovo and Serbia.
Eligible Activities
- The following activities are eligible for financial support:
- Production of videos and multimedia content
- Small publications (reports, journals, stories, interviews)
- Podcasts
- Learning and experience exchange initiatives (trainings, workshops, public lectures, debates)
- Campaigns
- Activism and Artivism
- Journalism
Eligibility Criteria
- CSOs and local non-governmental organizations active in youth activism, reconciliation, and human rights are eligible to apply.
- Priority given to organizations from border towns: Preshevë/Preševo, Medvegjë/Medveđa, Bujanoc/Bujanovac (Serbia), Leposavic, Zvecan, Zubin Potok, and Mitrovica (North Kosovo).
