Culham St Gabriel’s Trust is inviting applications to celebrate the 10th Anniversary, they are looking to support 10 small innovative projects.
The Foundation vision is for a broad-based, critical and reflective education in religion and worldviews contributing to a well-informed, respectful and open society.
Objectives
- Promoting positive public perception of an education in religion and worldviews
- Influencing government policy in supporting religion and worldviews, including the recommendations of the Commission on RE (2018)
- Advocating for the importance of a high-quality education in religion and worldviews within the education world
- Developing excellent leadership and teaching of religion and worldviews
- Facilitating the Religion and Worldviews community to work more cohesively.
- In addition, the Trust's current priority areas include parental understanding of an education in religion and worldviews, pupil voice, engagement with local communities (eg worldview communities, local businesses or organisations), reaching the 'unreached' teachers, and initial teacher education. However, they also welcome applications with other themes.
- The Trust has short term goals and key performance indicators for each of the objectives.
Funding Information
Culham St Gabriel's Trust will provide grants to 10 small innovative projects or initiatives with grants of £1,000 each.
Eligibility Criteria
They welcome applications from any organization whose proposed project is aligned with their objectives. This includes individual schools, multi-academy trusts, charities, local SACREs, organizations working to further religious and worldview literacy and so on.
