The Mayor’s Office on Community Affairs (MOCA) is seeking applications for its District of Columbia (DC) Futures Coaching Grant Program to support programs that provide coaching services to DC Futures Scholarship eligible DC residents.
Funding Information
- The total funding available for the FY22 award period is $3,991,806 (including $1,741,806 for programming and up to $2,250,000 to be distributed to students as $1,500 in stipends – this includes $1,500 per student for 1500 students distributed monthly) to be divided amongst one to five subgrantees.
- Eligible applicants may apply for any amount up to the full amount but may be awarded amounts less than requested. The per student stipend rate is firm. Grant funds shall only be used to support activities authorized as relevant statutes and included in the applicant’s submission. OSSE anticipates that there will continue to be funds available through this grant program through fiscal year 2024 (SY23-24) with the possibility of a one-year extension.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, local education agencies, and institutions of higher education who will focus the use of these grant funds on students who have applied, and been deemed eligible, for the DC Futures Scholarship. Successful applicants will provide a research-based approach to coaching said students that are equitable, high-quality, measurable and aligned to postsecondary success.
