The Australian Embassy has announced the opening of the 2017-2018 Direct Aid Program (DAP). The DAP is a program of competitive funds for development projects implemented in Peru and Bolivia by civil society organizations and government entities.
The DAP aims to finance small-scale development projects that are participatory in nature, delivering tangible and sustainable results over time.
Thematic Areas
Proposals should focus on at least one of the following thematic areas:
- Economic empowerment, through market insertion and the promotion of tourism and gastronomy
- Participatory education (especially girls and women and occupational education).
- Community development through sports, water management and protection of the environment.
- Inclusion and / or protection of vulnerable groups, especially women, children and people with disabilities.
Funding Information
The amount applicants can apply for is between AUD 5,000 and AUD 40,000 (Australian dollars). Projects must last up to 18 months.
Selection Criteria
- Positive impact on beneficiaries.
- Focus on thematic areas
- Tangible and measurable results at the end of the project; And sustainable in the short and medium term.
- Experience and reliability of the applicant organization (references, reputation, previous experience, etc.)
- Opportunities to publicly promote the project (media, publications, materials, etc.)
- Efficiency: maximizing DAP funds
- Effectiveness: ability to achieve the results proposed through the planned activities.
