The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) is offering grants of $2,000 to support community-led activities promoting and celebrating multiculturalism in Western Australia for inclusion in its Harmony Week 2023 campaign.
Activities should involve culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities in their coordination and be open to participation from the broader community.
Activities with a focus on culture and arts and sport and active recreation are encouraged in this funding round.
Culture and arts activities are those that involve a professional artist or arts practitioner working with the community to design and deliver the activity.
Sport and active recreation activities are those that involve the community participating in a primary activity requiring physical exertion and/or physical skill.
Activities
- The types of activities that can be supported include:
- community art projects
- multicultural sports carnivals
- community concerts or events
- community barbeques and dinners
- workshops, seminars and talks
- digital content production.
Eligibility Criteria
- Harmony Week grants are open to:
- Not-for-profit organisations based in Western Australia
- Associations incorporated under the Western Australia Associations Incorporation Act 2015.
