The Elmley Foundation is seeking applications for its Small Grants Scheme which is for community groups in Herefordshire and Worcestershire planning arts events or purchases.
Types of Funding
There are two funds – Events and Activities and Arts Equipment.
- Events and Activities Grant: The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund is a scheme designed for community groups who want to pay professional artists to open up new opportunities to create new work, reach new audiences and enable people from all walks of life to take part in arts and cultural activities. The Fund is intended to support small, local projects. Although applicants can apply for up to £1,000, it is anticipated that most grants will be less than this.
- Arts Equipment Grant: The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund has a capital scheme to help with the purchase by community groups of arts equipment for small, local projects. Although applicants can apply for up to £1,000, it is anticipated that most grants will be less than this.
Priority Areas
- Events and Activities Grant:
- In addition, priority will be given to projects which address one or more of the following:
- Are locally generated and controlled
- Demonstrate artistic vision and imagination
- Happen in areas where there is little or no existing arts activity
- Encourage and develop participation in new arts activities
- Encourage new audiences to experience high quality arts activities
- Enable the involvement of people who might otherwise be prevented or deterred from participating.
- Arts Equipment Grant:
- In addition, priority will be given to purchases which feature one or more of the following:
- Are locally generated and controlled
- Equipment used regularly or where there are plans for long-term usage
- Located in areas where there is little or no existing arts activity
- Encourage and develop participation in new arts activities
- Encourage new audiences to experience high quality arts activities
- Equipment which will be used by more than one group
- Small local community projects
Eligibility Criteria
- Events and Activities Grant:
- To be eligible for a grant from this Fund, your application must:
- Take place within the Counties of Herefordshire or Worcestershire
- Involve expenditure on professional artists in its creation or development
- Have a total cost of no more than £10,000
- Applicants can apply for the total cost of your project, up to the maximum£1,000. However, The Foundation prefers to support projects which have also raised funds from other sources, such as ticket sales, sponsorship or other grants.
- Arts Equipment Grant:
- To be eligible for a grant from this Fund, application must:
- Be for arts equipment to be used in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
- Have a total cost of no more than £5,000
- Applicants can apply for the total cost if this does not exceed £1,000. However, for purchases over £500, priority will be given to applicants who are not asking for the total amount from the Fund.
