The Edward M. Kennedy Centre has announced its EMK Small Grant Program 2021 and is offering financial support based upon the solutions for the post COVID era.
The Center is co-managed by the American Center of U.S. Embassy Dhaka & University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). The mission of the Edward M. Kennedy Center for Public Service and the Arts is to engage, inspire, connect and empower citizens of all ages to better themselves, their communities and the world.
Focused Areas
EMK Small Grant 2021 will be provided on the following areas:
- Entrepreneurship and Job creation;
- Encouraging diversity and inclusion;
- Promoting STEM education;
- Media literacy & countering misinformation;
- Empowerment through arts & culture;
- Innovative health solutions.
Funding Information
- EMK is offering grants ranging from 2 lakh to 10 lakh Bangladeshi Taka – to five individuals, groups and organisations.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants to the Small Grant can apply for anyone from Bangladesh, over 18 years of age, who can initiate and implement innovative projects in the post COVID era. The small grant defines eligible project applicants as reputable and accountable non-commercial entities,
- Non-profit organizations, projects, entities;
- Non-governmental organizations;
- Public service centers;
- Cultural organizations;
- Community based organizations;
- Foundations registered under Section 28 of the Companies Act, 1994 and is established for financing Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs);
- Organizations registered as Trust Deed.
