The Call for Expression of Interest is launched with the aim to identify eligible CSOs that could support girls and boys, adolescents from Roma and Egyptian community to develop skills, build positive relationships that will lead to better education outcome and consequently delay of child marriage.
Selected CSO should provide direct support to children and adolescents at risk of school drop-out through supporting life building skills, building links between community and school and improving children’s school attendance, and hence increase their opportunities to progress further in school.

Expected Results
- The project aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for Roma and Egyptian boys and girl to develop their skills, build positive relationships, and achieve their full potential. It should resulted in improvement of children and youth to continue education and consequently delay child marriage.
- CSO intervention activities should be designed around: – Activities with children through supporting access and participation in formal education, and providing homework support as well as other programmes to help children engage better with their formal education;
- Activities to be focused on empowering of Roma girls and boys to exercise their right to education and healthy life and have more opportunities and alternatives to child marriage; interventions that provide one or more of the following activities to adolescent girls:
- building self-confidence through success stories of young Roma girls,
- comprehensive sexuality education and care, education (in formal and non-formal settings),
- workshops on assertive communications skills;
- workshops on identity (history and culture);
- workshops on IT skills;
- Promotion the physical and mental health of children and youth through recreational activities, counselling, and health education;
- Activities with local schools through supporting skills development of children and strengthening relationships between community and school, enhancing the capacity of educational services to engage with identified families, fostering positive communication and regular contacts with schools;
- Engagement of parents in structured support between home, school and community through supporting them to become active participants in the child’s education at school and at home.
- Provide support and engaged to at least 50 children (at least 30 girls) from Roma and Egyptian community and 50 families within the period of 6 months; the focus should be to adolescent girls of 10 to 19 years who complete a minimum of 31 hours of interaction or exposure to these topics;
- The services and activities provision will be supported and documented, through CSO archive and M&E; system.
