The Women’s Fund in Georgia announces a competition for feminist advocacy grants. The financial supporter of the project is “Open Society Foundation”.
Purpose
- The purpose of the grant competition is to support initiatives that involve capacity building of women’s organizations and groups, feminist advocacy and lobbying, working with local authorities and gender budgeting issues.
Priorities
- Applicants can submit a project on one of the four priority topics:
- labor rights and women’s rights
- Protection of women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRJU)
- Women’s rights and environmental justice
- Responding to anti-gender movements
- Preference will be given to initiatives focused on social change.
Funding Information
- The maximum grant amount is 5625 USD.
- The duration of projects is 6 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Formal and informal women’s groups (registered non-governmental organizations and initiative groups) can participate in the grant competition.
- Within the framework of the competition, the Women’s Fund will support the following projects:
- which are implemented by women
- whose direct and ultimate beneficiaries are women
- Priority will be given to projects presented by registered organizations and also to women’s groups from mountainous and hard-to-reach regions.
