The Fremont Area Community Foundation is seeking applications for its YAC Grants program to improve the quality of life for youth in Newaygo County.
Applications are evaluated by members of the Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). The group uses the results of needs assessment surveys distributed in local schools to develop funding priorities.
Funding Priorities
- H.E.L.P. (Helping Everyone Live Positively)
- Support for Newaygo County youth who face challenges with drugs, questioned sexuality, teen pregnancy, or poor home life
- Social opportunities for youth
- Building and improving recreational and educational activities for the youth of Newaygo County
- Continued educational opportunities
- Provide youth with helpful skills to aid in their success in employment and leadership in Newaygo County
Funding Information
- Organizations may apply for up to $12,500.
Eligibility Criteria
- 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations
- Units of government
- Educational institutions (preschool through college)
- Organizations that are located in Newaygo County or directly serve the people of Newaygo County
