- Equipment to improve public engagement with science though the history of science
Funding Information
- Minimum grant amount: £15,000
- Usual grant range: £100,000 – £250,000
Outcomes
The project should aim to produce one or more of the following outcomes:
- Increased numbers of visitors and engagement of new audiences
- Improved educational experience and understanding of science
- Improved financial stability of the organization
Eligibility Criteria
- They support organizations that are in possession of significant scientific or natural history collections to improve public engagement with science through projects related to the history of science.
- Grants are generally awarded towards refurbishing or creating new galleries and, occasionally, education and learning spaces.

The organization should meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a registered charity, local authority or university
- Be displaying scientific or natural history collections of national significance
- If a museum, be fully accredited under the Museums Accreditation Scheme
- Registered or exempt charity (or equivalent), local authority or university
- Location of applicant and project: UK only.
