With the MEET UP! Youth for Partnership funding program, the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ) and the Federal Foreign Office jointly support international youth projects in Germany, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
The MEET UP! Youth for Partnership program will be financed by funds from the Federal Foreign Office and the EVZ Foundation from 2021 to 2023. Funding is provided especially for international youth exchange projects, training of professionals and participation of young people.
Funding Information
- The amount of the grant ranges between EUR 15,000 and EUR 50,000 and is based on the number of participants and the activities planned.
- The projects may run from March 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
Which topics may be addressed within the scope of the youth encounters?
Binational and multinational encounters for young people between the ages of 14 and 35 are eligible for funding.
The main focus of the international youth encounters is working together on one of the following topics:
- Crisis – Conflict – Cooperation
- Culture of remembrance
- Youth participation and promoting commitment
- UN sustainable development goals
Criteria
The following special conditions for funding apply to youth encounters in and with Belarus, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine Within the framework of the program, the EVZ Foundation endeavors to continue the international youth exchange. Together with the Federal Foreign Office, the Foundation has adjusted the conditions for funding to current circumstances. Special conditions for funding include:
- Projects with participation from Belarus, Republic of Moldova or Ukraine may be conducted in any European country.
- Applicants or partner organizations from Belarus, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine may be located outside Belarus, Republic of Moldova or Ukraine when the project is implemented.
- Project executing agencies, project participants and other people involved in the project from Belarus, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine may stay outside Belarus, Republic of Moldova or Ukraine when the project is implemented.
- There must be at least six and at most 15 young participants
- (14 to 35 years of age) from each partner country
Ineligible
- International youth encounters without a German partner
- Projects where participants come from only one country
- Projects that have already started
- Encounters that do not involve any project work (such as visiting programs, lecture visits, congresses, aid transports, humanitarian aid, etc.).
