The Wicklow County Council Arts Office is seeking applications for its Funding & Support Wicklow County Arts Office Funding Schemes 2022 to support artists, festivals, communities, arts participation and artform development.
These schemes form part of a wider set of actions initiated or supported by Wicklow County Council directed at supporting quality practice and public participation in the arts in the county.
The purpose of the Funding Schemes is to support programming and development of Artists and Communities in County Wicklow. It is the intention of these award schemes to fund, in full or in part, a particular aspect of an Artists, Festivals and Communities project, development plan or programme for 2022.

This year Wicklow County Council Arts Office will be accepting applications under 2 schemes:
- Artist Award Scheme 2022
- Artists and Communities Collaboration Award Scheme
Funding Information
The maximum award offered is €5,000 although awards are often made for smaller amounts.
Eligibility Criteria
This award is available to all professional practising artists, in all art form areas/genres. Applicants must have been born in County Wicklow or resident there for the last three consecutive years.
Ineligible
- Artist Award Scheme 2022
- Undergraduates
- Persons currently in full-time education
- Artists and Communities Collaboration Award Scheme
- For-profit or fundraising projects
- Deficits or start-up costs for new organizations
- Entertainment expenses
- Projects where the majority of activity takes place outside County Wicklow
- Insurance costs
- Capital improvements
- Projects/programmes where the majority of costs relate to equipment hire/administrative costs
