The Gympie Regional Council is pleased to announce Get Local Grants Program that aims to increase community connection, sense of belonging and community wellbeing through delivery of a range of small-scale community events and activities across the Gympie region.
The program is open to eligible community organisations to deliver activities in alignment with Neighbour Day under a promotion titled “Get Local”, providing opportunity and capacity for community-led activities. Get Local Grants support small-scale community events across the Gympie region.
This program is fully funded through a grant received from the Localised Mental Health Initiatives Program (COVID19 Recovery) funded by the Queensland Government.
Aims
This program aims to:
- increase community connection
- sense of belonging
- community wellbeing
Funding Information
- A total of $12,800 in 2021/2022.
- The maximum grant amount per applicant is $800.
- Project Timeframe: The events and activities must be delivered between 16 March 2022 – 13 April 2022.
- This program is fully funded through a grant received from the Localised Mental Health Initiatives Program (COVID19 Recovery) funded by the Queensland Government.
Eligible Expenses
- Venue and equipment hire
- Entertainment, appearance fees and associated travel costs
- Catering
- Decorations
- Marketing and promotion
- Traffic management
- Waste management
Eligibility Criteria
Community organisations that:
- are an incorporated not-for-profit community organisation
- hold $20M public liability insurance
- have no outstanding debt with Council
- are based in, or provide direct benefits to, the Gympie region
Note: applicants with an outstanding acquittal for a Council grant are eligible to apply for this grant round.
