The British Council is inviting a suitably qualified UK further education college or training organisation to collaborate in an international partnership with peers in Tanzania.
The call for proposals is part of the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme which builds stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education and TVET systems by supporting partnerships between universities, colleges, education policy makers, civil society organisations and industry partners around the world.
Funding Information
- Successful applicants will be eligible for £30 000 of grant funding to support partnership activities (international travel, staff time, development of materials, etc).
- The project will run for duration of 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- This is an excellent opportunity for a UK-based further education college or training organisation looking to build a network and capacity to work internationally.
- The selected UK college with work with three partner colleges in Tanzania with a thematic focus of improving employer engagement in training design and delivery. Sectors of interest for this collaboration are tourism, energy, transport and construction, based on the interest and specialism of the UK college. The UK college will provide mentoring support and work with their cluster to produce action plans for the work.
- The British Council teams in the UK and in Tanzania will provide ongoing advice and guidance throughout the partnership to help facilitate communication and deliver maximum benefit.
