The Minister of Foreign Affairs, acting under the Act of 27 August 2009 on public finances (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1530, as amended) and the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and volunteering, announces an open competition for offers “Support for Polish diaspora communities in the area of activation of civic attitudes”.
The competition will select offers for the implementation of a public task aimed at supporting Polish communities in the area of activating civic attitudes and awareness in order to increase the activity of the Polish community in political, economic and social life in the country of residence and the integration of Polish communities.
Objective
- The aim of the Competition is to support Polish communities abroad by selecting the best offer for the implementation of a public task aimed at supporting Polish communities abroad in the area of activating civic attitudes and awareness in order to increase the activity of Polish communities in political, economic and social life in the country of residence and the integration of Polish communities abroad, taking into account the assumptions and activities.
Areas
- The implementation of the public task will cover the following areas:
- promotion of social activity – increasing the participation of representatives of Polish communities in the life of the immediate community, supporting Polish communities in actively participating in various forms of social activities in order to integrate them, promoting and developing volunteering and increasing interest and involvement in the area of civic activity;
- developing leadership competences among Polish community leaders and increasing their management skills, using modern tools to conduct non-governmental activities, familiarizing them with modern technological solutions for acquiring knowledge and skills in running social organizations and volunteering;
- promotion of social participation, which will contribute to increasing the influence of representatives of the Polish diaspora on the life of the Polish minority and will increase participation in social and political life in the country of residence.
Funding Information
- PLN 1,700,000.00 (in words: one million seven hundred thousand zlotys).
- minimum amount: PLN 100,000;
- maximum amount: PLN 600,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Competition is open to entities referred to in Art. 3 sec. 2 of the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and volunteering, as well as entities listed in Art. 3 sec. 3 of the aforementioned Act, i.e.:
- Foundations;
- Associations;
- Legal persons and organizational units operating under the provisions on the relationship between the State and the Catholic Church in the Republic of Poland, on the relationship between the State and other churches and religious associations and on guarantees of freedom of conscience and religion, if their statutory objectives include conducting public benefit activities;
- Associations of local government units;
- Social cooperatives.
