The Women’s Foundation in Georgia announces the grant competition “Prevention of violence against women” to eliminate domestic and gender-based violence.
Focus Areas
- Applicants should preferably have work experience in the following areas:
- Gender-based and domestic violence;
- women’s rights;
- sexual and reproductive health and rights;
- Rights of women representing ethnic and religious minorities;
- LGBTQ+ persons;
- displaced women;
- women with disabilities;
- Women sentenced to probation;
- other topics related to domestic and gender-based violence;
Funding Information
- The maximum grant amount is 10,000 euros.
Duration
- The minimum term of project implementation is five, and the maximum is eight months.
Possible Activities
- Initiatives involving protection of women’s rights, advocacy and lobbying;
- providing services;
- legislative initiatives, documenting the violation of the rights of women and LGBTQI+ persons;
- monitoring the implementation of laws and conventions;
- victim support programs;
- development/implementation of preventive mechanisms;
- ensuring the safety of victims of gender-based violence (including digital safety);
- raising the awareness of the local population.
Criteria
- Non-governmental organizations working on women’s issues, registered in Georgia, can participate in the competition.
- The following projects will be financed within the framework of the program:
- whose target region is: Kakheti, Racha-Lechkhumi – Kvemo Svaneti, Imereti and Kvemo Kartli;
- The purpose of which is to identify and solve the problem, both at the local and municipal level.
- The project application should include a project application and a budget. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
