The U.S. Mission to Pakistan is inviting applications for the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Capacity of Youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through Technology to mitigate the lack of training opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) in areas such as online content creation and monetization.
Project Goal
- Participants will demonstrate techniques and strategies developed in the United
- States to utilize digital content creation for self-employability.
- They will deliver plans for converting their ideas into business plans.
Project Objectives
Recruit and train 100 young entrepreneurs in the field of digital content creation so they can explore American concepts of innovation and business plan development while creating online business.
The training must include, but is not limited to:
- Create a digital media presence from scratch:
- attracting an audience;
- converting viewers into subscribers;
- shooting, editing, storyboarding, and writing effective video products for digital platform distribution;
- growing a brand;
- understanding analytics and using them to improve content and reach;
- earning from digital content through ads, products and services, sponsors, and crowdfunding; and
- using best practices for growing and improving quality.
- For writers, the training will also include:
- exploring avenues to becoming a freelance writer;
- blogging;
- writing stories;
- creating a brand; and
- earning from digital content by ads, products and services, sponsors, and crowdfunding.
- This project will provide hands-on training opportunities with real world examples and knowledge on digital content creation.
