The U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Poland is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for grants of up to $20,000 for projects that support the needs of the LGBTQI+ community in Poland.
Themes
These funds may be used to support:
- Educational programs, such as public outreach, awareness raising, diversity and inclusivity training, etc.
- Capacity building for NGOs that support the LGBTQI+ community in Poland, including but not limited to training in advocacy, fundraising, facilitating dialogue, etc. Please note: these funds will be awarded for projects and cannot be used solely to cover overhead costs or purchase equipment.
- Workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of those providing services to or otherwise supporting members of the LGBTQI+ community and/or their families, such as therapists, legal professionals, educators, etc.
- Programs intended to support LGBTQI+ youth
- Cultural programs that celebrate and/or raise awareness of the LGBTQI+ community
Funding Information
- The maximum amount of an individual grant is $20,000, and projects with local cost-sharing will be given preference.
- Project duration may not exceed 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants will be awarded to local representatives of Polish non-governmental organizations, cultural or educational institutions, and media, whose proposals support the topics.
- All grantees must have a non-profit status.
- One application per organization. Organizations which currently have an open grant from the Embassy should not apply.
- NGOs from the United States may apply, but should present evidence of a relationship with a local partner operating in Poland in their proposals.
- In order to receive a grant, all organizations must have a DUNS number and a valid SAM.gov registration (registrations are valid for one year).
