The Climate & Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is seeking proposals to develop policies and regulations to ensure the uptake of recent CCAC-funded Guidelines to mitigate methane from the oil and gas sector.

Expected Outcomes
- The government considers new policies and regulations to ensure uptake of recent CCAC-funded Guidelines.
- The government has increased institutional capacity for MRV in the oil and gas sector.
- The government and its regulatory agencies have taken action to mitigate methane from the oil and gas sector through the adoption and implementation of regulatory standard in the downstream, mid-stream and up-stream sectors.
Outputs
The project should deliver at a minimum:
- Workshops to sensitize stakeholders on the guidelines and how it should be implemented
- Training on the use of COMAT (for all stakeholders e.g., MDAs, Institutions & Private sectors etc) Demonstration of LDAR techniques – Case Study (for all stakeholder Institutions & Private sectors)
- A guidance document with an approach to Fugitive Methane Baseline development and Implementation of a Leak Detection and Repair program
- A methodology approach and framework for data reporting for methane management
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration, project proposals must meet the following requirements:
- Are complete and submitted before the deadline
- Are submitted by a non-governmental organization (NGO), intergovernmental organization (IGO), or other not-for-profit entity
- Requested funding falls within the indicated cost range and the project duration is less than 24 months
- Budget criteria are met and spending caps on expenses are respected
