Greenwood Women Care (GWC) is pleased to announce the grant program.
Greenwood Women Care is an initiative of the Greenwood County Community Foundation, Greenwood, South Carolina. GWC is a philanthropic women’s organization that inspires women to be instrumental in making a difference in their community through collective learning, giving, and granting.
Funding Information
- In the 2021 granting cycle, GWC will consider grant applications in any area that enhances the quality of life in Greenwood County.
- Grants awarded will range from a minimum of $1000 to a maximum of $10,000. GWC reserves the right to offer partial funding for a grant request.
Areas Not Funded
- Capital and endowment campaigns;
- Organizations for re-granting purposes;
- Travel and professional conferences;
- Individuals;
- Projects promoting religious or political views.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants will be awarded only to organizations with 501(c)(3) or comparable tax-exempt status.
- Grants are for the direct benefit of residents of Greenwood County.
- Organizations must not discriminate on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, physical ability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religious belief.
- Organizations seeking funding from GWC are not excluded from applying for grants through the Greenwood County Community Foundation in the same granting year.
- An organization that receives a GWC grant will not be eligible to apply two years in a row. For example: Organizations receiving funding in the year 2021 will be eligible to reapply in the year 2023.
