The Hamilton Community Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program that was created to help address unmet and emerging charitable needs in Hamilton County.
The Hamilton Community Foundation was incorporated November 16, 1965 under the laws of the State of Nebraska, is a nonprofit tax-exempt corporation whose purpose is to meet local community needs for all manner of civic, charitable, educational, cultural, health, recreational and humanitarian purposes.

Guidelines for consideration include:

- Organizations with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status under the IRS
- A demonstrated need for this project/program in the community
- Project has a direct impact on Hamilton County residents
- Requests from organizations which have operated successfully for at least one year and demonstrate an ability to enlist financial support from the public
- Funding for the project is limited or unavailable from other sources
- Ineligible
The Foundation does not provide grant funding for the following:

- Expenditures incurred prior to formal grant approval
- Tax supported school systems or municipalities
- More than 50% of a project
- Ongoing operating expenses
- Events
- Organizations with unused funds from a prior grant
Grant Application
Please outline the project in its entirety and in the order listed below. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
- Grant cover sheet (should be the top page
- Organization background and year formed
- Proposed project description Project timeline
- Persons involved in the project or project committee members
- Who will be impacted by this request including the number/percent of Hamilton County residents.
- Please include the number/percent of those impacted by this request who live in the Hordville area.
- Who will perform the work required for this project and was local labor used when available.
- Detailed project budget with revenue and expenses. Be specific and include narrative for any areas that require further explanation.
- Project quotes, drawings, photos and other information directly related to the project
- Required information to go after your project application:
- Organization fiscal year and budget for the current fiscal year
- Current board of directors and officers
- IRS 501(c)(3) letter
