Deadline: 21-May-25
The Health and Safety Without Limits Program objective is to improve access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and the prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV), ensuring the well-being of migrant and Dominican women.
Both components emphasize training and skills development within community-based organizations to ensure a sustainable and effective response to the SRH and GBV needs of Dominican and migrant women.
UNFPA will provide essential life-saving services by launching medical units and strengthening Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CONEm) facilities and primary health facilities to provide essential sexual and reproductive health care for migrants and host communities, including SRH services within the Dajabón immigration interdiction center. Services will include basic and emergency obstetric care, family planning, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and clinical management of rape (CMR) services and supplies. The project will also provide comprehensive services against gender-based violence, including case management and training activities offered in safe spaces for women and girls, as well as connection and referral to other sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence services.
