Deadline: 30-Oct-2024
The Corra Foundation is pleased to announce the Henry Duncan Grants to support women and/or girls (aged 12+) within their local communities.
There will be a particular focus on addressing violence against women and girls.
Types of Grants
- There are two types of Henry Duncan Grants in 2024:
- Grants for Women Led Organisations
- Henry Duncan Grants will provide unrestricted funding to organisations led by women. The organisation’s work needs to have a focus on supporting women and/or girls (aged 12+) who have experienced gender-based violence. This could include working in prevention of gender-based violence, supporting women and girls currently experiencing gender-based violence or working with survivors.
- Grants for Women Led Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Organisations
- Henry Duncan Grants for Women Led Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Organisations will provide unrestricted funding for organisations that are led by Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women and are working on issues that impact women and/or girls (aged 12+) in their communities. They would particularly welcome applications from women led organisations within the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities whose work includes addressing the impacts of violence against women and girls, although this is not a requirement for an organisation to apply.
- Grants for Women Led Organisations
Theme
- Following engagement with women’s organisations, and organisations from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, they recognise that while many anti-discrimination laws have come into place, inequality and discrimination are still present in many areas of life. This includes gender-based violence, which disproportionately affects women and girls. This damages health and wellbeing, limits freedom and potential, and is a violation of fundamental human rights.
- Women’s organisations are uniquely placed to support women and girls to come together to make decisions, to lead and have their voices heard, take action, and advance solutions within their communities that help to address their concerns and priorities.
- They want to hear about the difference the money will make to your organisation and work, and how women’s and girls’ lives will improve as a result.

- You can apply for up to £8,000 per year, across five years – a total grant of £40,000. You can apply for fewer years or a smaller amount per year if you prefer.
