Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation Grant is now accepting applications for its second round of grants program from eligible charities.
Focus Areas
- 1 x $25,000 grant
- Positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers.
- Growing Stronger Communities Grants
- 4 x $15,000 grants
- Positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers;
- Health care services for vulnerable Australians and their families; and
- Support for the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities, including in times of natural disasters.
Eligibility Criteria
Their Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation Grant recipients needed to meet the following criteria.
- Be a non-profit with deductible gift recipient (DGR) status.
- Be able to show evidence of an effective existing program supporting one or more of the following areas:
- Positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers;
- Health care services for vulnerable Australians and their families; and
- Support for the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities, including in times of natural disasters.
- Be clearly able to demonstrate the number of people who will be positively impacted by provision of the grant.
- Have an annual income for 2020 (based on their latest audited report) of under $10 million.
- Obtain less than 70% of their annual income from government sources.
Assessment Criteria
- The program aligns with the Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation vision, values and strategy.
- The program seeks to meet a real need within the community and is an appropriate response to that need, and includes community input.
- There is evidence of effective project management, evaluation and performance monitoring.
- The program has already demonstrated success in assisting people and building stronger communities.
- The organisation has the knowledge, resources and capacity to deliver what is proposed.
- The program budget is realistic and well defined.
