Deadline: 3-Sep-21
Proposals are now invited for the Clean Fuels Fund. This fund request for information (RFI) will collect information to gauge the interest and project readiness of Indigenous-led clean fuels projects to help finalize a call for project proposals targeted to Indigenous-owned businesses, communities and organizations.
The fund also supports feasibility and front-end engineering and design studies. This funding will also help establish biomass supply chains to improve logistics for the collection, supply and distribution of biomass materials as a feedstock in clean fuels production facilities.
The biomass materials include forest residues, municipal solid waste and agriculture crop residues and the fund will also provide resources to address gaps and misalignment in codes, standards and regulations for the production, distribution and end-use of clean fuels.
Clean fuels are expected to play a critical role in “hard-to-decarbonize” sectors such as industry and medium- and heavy-duty freight and in remote and northern locations.
