The Global Changemakers is excited to announce the International Grants for Youth-Led Projects that support youth to create positive change towards more inclusive, fair and sustainable communities.
Global Changemakers is a pioneer in supporting youth-led development projects and they are proud to be one of the few organizations globally who provide grant funding to young people through they support of their partners.
Funding Information
Each grant corresponds to 2,500 USD.
Geographical Focus
- U.S.A.: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington DC, Wisconsin.
- Canada: Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg Central and South America- Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico.
Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria are the minimum requirements a project must meet in order to be considered for a Grant.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years old.
- Applicants must reside in one of the target locations in the U.S. or Canada.
- Grantees must have knowledge and/or experience in implementing projects. It is not mandatory to have completed their Project Management for Changemakers Course to submit your application, but you will need to complete the course if selected to receive a grant.
- Grants will be awarded to projects that work towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
- The proposed project must be implemented and completed within one year of receiving the grant in the city where you currently live.
- They expect grantees to be able to understand and express themselves comfortably in English. Proficiency levels C1 and above are recommended.
- Unfortunately, they are unable to make exceptions to the requirements.
- Applicants and projects who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered.
Selection of Projects
The selection of grantees will be divided into two phases:
- In the first phase applicants will answer a set of questions and submit a one minute video pitch describing their project. This will be done following the application instructions.
- In the second phase, selected candidates will be asked to present a full written proposal detailing the vision, goals and objectives of the project as well as presenting a budget, timeline and proposing reporting dates for the project. Only selected projects will be requested to submit this information.
