Deadline: 18-Jun-21
The Investing in Not-for-Profit Capacity in Regional NSW (INFPC) program seeks to contribute to the integral role of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations in building and supporting vibrant communities, both socially and economically to support NFP organisations to be resilient and respond to community needs.
Funding for NFPs is often tied to a particular project or dependent on external fundraising. The INFPC program supports community organisations and NFPs to invest in their organisation through their people, processes, and systems.
In addition to grants, INFPC also looks to promote collaboration, networking, and shared learning between community organisations through capacity building workshops delivered for target communities.
FRRR believes that local leaders are best placed to understand their community and identify strategies and next steps to contribute to a strong and resilient NFP sector.
The aim of this program is to strengthen the resourcing and capacity of locally-governed community organisations to support relevant, effective, and timely recovery support and foster an inclusive community-led recovery process.
This program seeks to:
- Support community-led recovery in three NSW bushfire-affected communities;
- Support locally governed rural, regional and remote not-for-profit organisations to be strong, resilient members of robust local community sectors, enhancing their ability to fulfill their missions with greater impact; and
- Build an understanding of each community’s not-for-profit sector – their strengths, challenges, and future priorities.
Funding Information
- There is approximately $140,000 available to each community through this grant opportunity.
FRRR will be supporting grants that best align to the priority areas identified here. The funding amount is open to allow organisations to request the amount of funds to best meet the needs of their community.
It is anticipated that there will be multiple grants awarded per community. Where it makes sense, community organisations and NFPs are encouraged to work together to identify how to maximise the use of available funds to best support their organisations and wider community.
