Vinnova is looking for projects with ideas on how the Internet of Things (IoT) can be used in the public sector to achieve a higher quality of life for people in Sweden. The purpose of the call is to improve the conditions for and the ability of the public sector to use IoT.
The call is aimed at Swedish municipalities and regions (needs owners) who want to develop and test innovative IoT solutions that contribute to utility and create value in the public sector.
Goals
In its program plan, IoT Sweden has prioritized five of the global goals:
- Objective 3: Good health and well-being.
- Objective 5: Gender equality.
- Objective 9: Sustainable industry, innovation and infrastructure.
- Objective 10: Reducing inequality.
- Objective 11: Sustainable cities and communities.
Thematic Areas
The IoT solutions will be applied in one of the three thematic areas of need:
- Equal health
- Safe public environments
- Faster climate change
Funding Information
- Up to SEK 2,000,000, but not more than 50% of the project´s total budget.
- Preliminary total budget for the call Prototype development project is SEK 12,000,000.
What can you apply for?
Development of innovative IoT solutions for public sector activities. Mapping of legal and / or commercial conditions for implementation. Development of new working methods at the need owner adapted for IoT-based solutions.
Eligibility Criteria
Municipalities and regions in collaboration with at least one company or at least one research and innovation actor.
