The Department of Rural and Community Development (DRCD), through the Dublin City Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) and Dublin City Council, is funding a Community Activities Fund (CAF) in 2022.
The aim of the CAF is to support non-profit, community-based and/ or voluntary sector organisations or groups based in Ireland who are seeking support with meeting capital costs and operating/ running costs, not including salary.
Priority
- The Dublin City CAF is intended to support proposals benefitting one or more of the priority target groups for 2022 agreed by the Dublin City Local Community Development Committee (LCDC). The target groups are:
- People experiencing challenges to their mental health and wellbeing;
- Older people and those vulnerable to isolation;
- Travellers/ Roma;
- Long term unemployed;
- New communities; and,
- Parents and marginalised children with a focus on childcare and afterschool services.
Funding Information
- The total amount of funding available under the Dublin City Community Activities Fund is €427,358 (DRCD’s allocation of €424,612 plus funding of €2,746 carried forward from previous rounds of CEP).
- Funding is available up to a maximum grant of €50,000.
- Applications must specify the amount of funding required and include evidence of the cost. A written quote or a print-out from a supplier website or copy of utility bill, insurance bill, rental bill etc. will suffice as evidence of cost. This evidence of cost must be uploaded to your application before submission. Please ensure that the evidence of cost is inclusive of VAT.
- If the work/project is being part-funded from another source, including applicant’s own funds, applicants will be required to provide documentary evidence of the availability of the shortfall, in the form of bank statements, etc. which must be uploaded to your application before submission.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only applications from a non-profit, community-based and/or voluntary sector organisation or group based in Ireland will be considered.
- Commercial organisations, individuals and for-profit organisations are not eligible for funding under the Dublin City Community Activities Fund.
- Groups/organisations must be registered with the Dublin City Public Participation Network. In order to draw down funds under this Scheme, all successful applicant groups/organisations must have a unique PPN number.
