The Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is currently seeking applications for the Community Grants that is available to voluntary clubs, societies, community and sporting organizations. Groups must be based in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council areas.
Program Detail
- Community & Wellbeing
- The Community and Wellbeing Grant Aid will be agile and responsive in meeting community needs and will allow groups to self-identify priority spending up to a maximum allocation of £500.
- Community Premises Support Grant Aid
- The Community Premises Support grant aid scheme contributes to the running costs for voluntary and community organizations within the Fermanagh and Omagh District.
- Good Relations
- Good Relations grant aid is available to groups that demonstrate they wish to deliver programmes or organize events that will address one of the following Key Priorities of the T:BUC strategy listed below:-

- Irish in the Community
- Fermanagh and Omagh District Council wants to support projects, activities, and groups that will actively contribute to enhancing the cultural life of the district.
- Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) ASB Diversionary Fund
- Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership aim to create safer, shared communities. To help achieve this the Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) has funding available to assist with the delivery of community engagement projects that respond to community needs and emerging trends.
- Remembering and Commemoration – Decade of Centenaries
- Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has established a Councillor-led working group to oversee the delivery of a programme to mark the key Centenary anniversaries taking place in the period 2012 – 2023.
- Seeding Grant Aid
- A seeding grant is available to new groups/organizations within the first 12 months of existence to assist with initial administrative expenses whilst they are establishing themselves.
- Ulster-Scots in the Community
- The Ulster-Scots in the Community Grant Aid will provide support to a variety of organizations towards the delivery of programmes addressing Ulster-Scots in the community.
- Verti-Draining
- This funding programme offers support to sports organizations operating within the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area who lease or own a grass pitch.

- £500 – £2,000 Grant Aid is subject to funding availability
- Good Relations
- The maximum grant available is £1,000
- Irish in the Community
- Irish language Conversation circle £250;
- Irish language Classes with facilitator £1000;
- One day Irish intensive Irish Language Course £500
- Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) ASB Diversionary Fund
- Funding of 100% of total project costs is available up to a maximum of £2,000.
- Remembering and Commemoration – Decade of Centenaries
- It is anticipated that Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will be making the following awards in 2022/23:
- Small Grants of up to £1,000
- A maximum of 4 Grants of up to £5,000
- Small Grants of up to £1,000 are for community-led projects of local interest.
- Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are for significant projects that will achieve at least two of the following:
- Leave a lasting legacy
- Create lasting local/regional/national partnerships
- Increase knowledge and understanding of the period
- It is anticipated that Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will be making the following awards in 2022/23:
- Seeding Grant Aid
- £200 Grant Aid is subject to funding availability
- Ulster-Scots in the Community
- £500 Grant Aid is subject to funding availability
- Verti-Draining
- £200 per Verti-Draining operation Grant Aid is subject to funding availability
Eligibility Criteria
- Community & Wellbeing Grant Aid
- Small Scale Community Events marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022 is eligible under this programme.
- Small items of equipment will only be considered if it forms part of a project and is necessary for its delivery.
- Refreshments will only be awarded up to a maximum of 20% of grant aid allocation.
- Tutors/Facilitators must be external to the organization and capped at £25 maximum p/hr;
- Coaches for sporting activities must be external to the organization and capped at £20 maximum p/hr;
- Irish in the Community
- Programme with a minimum of 16 teaching hours (5 hrs per tutor for a one-day intensive course)

- Facilitator (maximum contribution £25 per hour)
