Jemena Community Grants are now open in Australia

The Jemena is pleased to announce Community Grants to offer support to those making a real difference for others.

Through their 2021 Jemena Community Grants, they are seeking to support activities, programs or events that will help make a positive impact for their local communities in one or more of the following areas:

Environmental sustainability and/or energy efficiency
Vulnerable people or those experiencing hardship
Diversity and/or reconciliation
Social inclusion, participation and/or public safety
Local issues, concerns and priorities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for and receive a Jemena Community Grant, applicants must:

Be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation (endorsed by the Australian Tax Office with Deductible Gift Recipient status), registered charity, school or community group with a registered Australian Business Number (ABN);
Deliver an activity, event or program within 12 months of receiving the grant, within an area in which Jemena operates, and that supports the local community,
Agree to share activity outcomes (including photographs) with Jemena, in the form of photographs, written updates and a short acquittal upon activity completion
Agree to Jemena promoting you and the activity your grant supports on the Jemena Website, social media, through annual reports and other channels
Be open to Jemena participating in the activity and related promotional activities, and
Hold a current bank account in Australia in its name.

Ineligible

Their Jemena Community Grants cannot fund:

individuals, commercial businesses and government entities
activities outside of communities in which Jemena operates
activities which have already been completed prior to the date of funding
organisations or activities which do not align with Jemena’s values
organisations or activities which do not align with local community standards
activities which denigrate or exclude members of the community
activities which are or could be perceived to be unsafe or cause harm to people, animals or the environment
political or religious pursuits
organisations or activities associated with gambling, drugs or alcohol or
activities or events which are already sponsored by government or industry.
