L3Harris Foundation is providing funds to COVID-19 Response and Recovery Funds administered by local United Way agencies and the American Red Cross, as well as providing a 2x match to employee designated gifts to these and other organizations.
The funds support initiatives globally, with special emphasis on regions where L3Harris has a significant presence.
L3Harris is contributing $2 million and providing additional equipment and resources to organizations involved in COVID-19 relief and recovery efforts around the world.
Funding Information
- Grants of $25K each will be made to organizations in US cities where L3Harris has an employee base.
Eligibility Criteria
The L3Harris Social Impact Grant Program is available to US non-profits serving populations adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Organization must be a 501(c)3 not for profit organization offering secular social services
- Organization must serve a population affected by COVID-19
- Organization must have an annual operating budget of under $750K
- Organization must operate and serve a population located in a U.S. city or region where L3Harris has an employee base
- Preference is given to organizations who predominantly serve (75%) the following populations: African American, Hispanic, LGBTQ, women and/or veterans
- Grants are available to create, continue or enhance programs to assist the affected population recover from the economic, educational or healthcare challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic
- Operating and overhead costs must be limited to no more than 10% of the grant amount
- Grants will not be considered for: individuals, political or lobbying activities, religious activities or capital expenditures
- All grantees will be expected to attend a 30-minute grantee training on required quarterly accountability reports
