La Caixa Foundation seeking Applications to promote educational and social intervention projects

The La Caixa Foundation is seeking applications for Interculturalism and Social Action to support educational and social intervention projects to improve intercultural citizen coexistence and social cohesion, which contribute to building an inclusive, plural, and cohesive society.

The ”la Caixa” Foundation is committed to building a fairer, more equitable and more equitable society. Solidarity, that gives more opportunities to people.

The purpose of this call is to contribute to the construction of a more diverse and inclusive society, promoting educational and social intervention projects to improve citizen coexistence intercultural and social cohesion that contribute to building an inclusive, plural and cohesive society.

Scope of Action

Diversity management and community mediation
- Priority lines
  - Community initiatives in health and education as backbone tools of social cohesion
  - Training of people who act in the community as agents of change
  - Actions developed from the prevention, regulation, resolution and transformation of conflict
Participatory and sustainable community processes
- Priority lines
  - Facilitation of interaction between groups in the territory and inclusion in the processes that include community resources of the different actors in accordance with mutual respect for the values of the community
  - Promotion of participatory and sustainable community processes and projects that promote attitudes inclusion and respect, as well as group and community civic values
  - Development of community action and networking methodologies
Educational programs and prevention of behaviors related to addictions and violence.
- Priority lines
  - Community initiatives in health and education
  - Programs for the prevention of violent behavior and addictions, from the perspective of promotion of people
  - Actions and / or activities that promote the culture of peace and non-violence

Funding Information

The requested projects must have duration of 12 months and may be presented as projects:
- Individual: the amount requested may not exceed € 40,000.
- Partnerships: the amount requested may not exceed € 60,000.
The amount requested may not exceed 75% of the total cost of the project. In the event that the project is selected, the entity agrees to contribute at least 25% of the total cost of the project according to the budget presented, regardless of the amount of aid granted.
In the case of corporate foundations, the amount requested may not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project and the entity agrees to contribute at least 50% of the total cost of the project according to the budget presented

Eligibility Criteria

Non-profit entities.
Entities of the social economy whose statutes explicitly state, among the stated purposes, that their main objective is the social interest or social cohesion.
Public administrations or entities that are part of the public sector.
The requirements for entities, both managers and partnerships, are:
- Be accredited in the new application of calls for proposals.foundationlacaixa.org and designate to a person responsible for the project.
- Be registered in the corresponding administrative registry, have the domicile in Spain and develop the project presented in Spain.
- Have your own NIF.
- Have statutes and have been in business for a minimum of one year, from its constitution.
In the case of delegations, they may present themselves independently as long as they prove their autonomy formal, functional and organic. To do this, they must:
- Be recognized by the parent entity and have a minimum operating age as one year delegation.
- Have autonomous operation with respect to the parent entity, with its own structure and body of self-government.
- Have its own budget differentiated from the parent entity
