Large Grants Opportunity to boost Business in North West Leicestershire (UK)

North West Leicestershire District Council is pleased to announce Business Growth Grants to support the economic recovery and growth of larger businesses in North West Leicestershire who haven’t received funding through the Government’s Restart Grant fund.

Funding Information

The Council are looking to offer matched Economic Growth grants between £25,000 and £100,000 to larger businesses employing between 25 and 250 staff. For project costs over £50,000 (up to a maximum of 50% of their project cost).

How can you use the money?

Grants are intended to fund investment projects that can demonstrate business growth or diversification. You will be required to demonstrate how the planned investment will support your businesses to grow. Examples of what the grant could be used for include:

New equipment to improve the efficiency of your business
Improvements to your business premises
New technology, IT or telecommunications
Innovation
Diversification

Grant applications will not be considered for:

Salaries / wages
Agents and legal fees
Rent or rates
Council fees

Eligibility Criteria

What businesses can apply?
- To be eligible to apply for an Enterprising North West Leicestershire Business Growth Grant your business must:
  - Be a mid-sized enterprise employing between 25 and 250 staff
  - Be based in North West Leicestershire i.e. you must pay business rates to North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC)
  - Be trading as a business whose company type is either: Limited Liability, Limited Liability Partnership, Partnership or Social Enterprise.
  - Be in good standing with NWLDC. For example, fully paid up on any money owed to the council such as business rates.
Who can apply?
- Any individual, company or partnership that meets the eligibility criteria listed above can apply. If a company or partnership is making the application, the person completing the form must be authorised to apply on behalf of that business.
- If the grant application is successful the applicant will enter into a legal agreement which will set out specific and general terms and conditions relating to the Enterprising North West Leicestershire Business Growth Grant. This agreement will be between the business and NWLDC.
