The Marin Charitable Foundation is inviting applications that provides funds to nonprofit organizations with youth-oriented programs or projects proactively addressing the needs of middle and high school aged youth.
Marin Charitable’s effective system of granting ensures donations reach youth in Marin County who need it most. A rigorous process for screening non-profits has been established to identify the deepest needs each year. Qualified applicants are interviewed on-site by a member of the Marin Charitable grant committee. Each awardee is then required to submit a progress report.
Funding Information
- Marin Charitable currently provides grants of up to but not exceeding, $5,000.
Grant’s applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Relevance of program to Marin Charitable mission
- Capability of applicant to facilitate program
- Direct impact: ability of applicant to ensure children with limited opportunities receives the grant funds
Eligibility Criteria
- Marin Charitable provides funds to nonprofit organizations with youth-oriented programs or projects proactively addressing the needs of middle and high school aged youth (approx. age 11-18), who have limited opportunities and reside in Marin County. Marin Charitable prefers to fund small-budgeted, grassroots programs.
- Qualified applicants are contacted by a member of the Marin Charitable Grant Committee starting in September.
